Frequently Asked Questions
I see some cabins only provide starter packs, what do you provide?
We strive to make your stay as easy as possible; therefore, you will find enough of the following items to last the duration of your stay:
- Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Wash – these are in a triple pump in each shower
- Toilet Paper, Q-tips and Make-up Remover Wipes
- Hand Soap, Dish Soap, Dishwasher Detergent, Washing Machine Detergent & Dryer Sheets
- Basic H (an all-purpose cleaner), Basic G (a germicide) and a few other cleaners like laundry stain remover
- Garbage Bags and Paper Towels
- A small tote of "forgot me" items for those essentials you might forget like toothpaste
What do I need to bring with me?
See the above question. We provide as many of the essentials as possible including coffee, tea, sugar and creamer. Bring your own groceries, or if you want groceries delivered when you arrive, contact us to help you set that up.
We provide all the linens and towels, including pool towels for the pool and hot tubs.
Pack for the weather, knowing that you can also do laundry while staying at the cabin.
If you want assistance getting anything special delivered during your stay, don’t hesitate to ask. We are happy to help make your stay as perfect as possible.
Yes, we offer several concierge services, not just grocery delivery.
- For grocery delivery, you pick from a list of stores and place your order on-line. The groceries are delivered, put away in the fridge and cabinets and the garbage is removed. Bonus is that your order can include alcohol. And for a small upcharge, you can even add fresh bakery or hot meal pick-ups for delivery with your groceries.
- We also offer special occasion decorating including a honeymoon/anniversary, birthday, graduation and retirement packages.
- Speaking of special occasions or maybe you just need to relax and recharge while on vacation. We have a traveling massage therapist who will come to the cabin for services! And they have hundreds of 5 star reviews.
- Or maybe you want to capture your special occasion with professional pictures. The photographer that we've teamed with offers flexible packages and can capture the moment whether you want dark, moody pictures or bright, cheerful pictures. This dynamic duo of photographers brings a unique style to each photo shoot.
- And perhaps my personal favorite, we offer a personal chef! He brings all the ingredients and cooks you a 3 or 4-course meal including a soup, salad or appetizer followed by the entrée served with 2 sides followed by the dessert. He has many choices from standard chicken and beef to seafood and farm-raised rabbit.
Questions about any of these services, please contact me directly.
Can I check-in early or check-out late?
We can occasionally accommodate early arrival or late departure for a nominal fee. Contact us to see if it is available for your stay.
Are you pet friendly?
Yes, we allow up to two dogs to be brought with on your stay with us at Ridge Top Adventure Cabin. We ask that only well-behaved dogs are brought and that they be crated when left unattended. The crate is 42"L x 26"W x 28"H. We also provide several other pet amenities such as dog bowls, blankets, leash, poop bags and treats. We want to make sure your fur baby feels at home as well.
Can I take my dog with me hiking on the trails in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park?
For multiple reasons, primarily safety and preservation of the National Park, dogs are not allowed on most trails. There are allowed on the below two trails. Please visit National Park Service Pet Policy for up-to-date information.
-Gatlinburg Trail (near Gatlinburg, TN) – 4 miles roundtrip / easy trail / trailhead access at Sugarlands Visitor Center or at traffic light #10 in Gatlinburg
-Oconaluftee River Trail (near Cherokee, NC) – 3.2 miles roundtrip / easy trail / trailhead access at Oconaluftee Visitor Center
Pick up a self-guided activity sheet at Sugarlands or Oconaluftee Visitor Center, then take a walk on one of the pet-friendly trails to earn your pet a Great Smoky Mountains National Park B.A.R.K. Ranger certificate! There are B.A.R.K. Ranger items available for purchase at park bookstores and online through the Great Smoky Mountains Association at Great Smoky Mountain Association BARK items
Dogs are allowed in campgrounds, picnic areas, and along roads, but must be kept on a leash at all times. The Cosby picnic site is close to the cabin with a beautiful road with a creek running along-side it up to the picnic site. Other ideas of places to take your pups include Mills Park with Gatlinburg Dog Park right across the street or Mynatt Park. Looking for more information like what restaurants are dog friendly?
